IT projects we deliver
Projects are one-time pieces of work with a clear start, finish and price. They are available whether or not you are a managed client. Common projects include:
- Server to cloud migrations: moving file shares from an aging server to SharePoint and OneDrive, or moving applications to hosted platforms, so you can retire hardware in a closet.
- Email and tenant migrations: Microsoft 365 migrations, Google Workspace moves, and tenant consolidation when companies merge or separate.
- Network upgrades: replacing consumer routers and aging firewalls, adding business Wi-Fi, segmenting guest and payment networks, and adding backup internet. See network & Wi-Fi setup.
- Office moves and new locations: internet ordering, cabling coordination, equipment move and same-weekend reconnection.
- Device rollouts: Windows 11 upgrades and hardware refreshes with data migration and secure disposal.
- Phone system cut-overs: moving to cloud VoIP with number porting.
- Security projects: MFA rollouts, device encryption, backup overhauls and compliance remediation.
Why projects go wrong, and how we avoid it
IT projects usually fail for the same few reasons: nobody inventoried what existed first, the cut-over happened during business hours, the old system was shut off too soon, or nothing was documented afterward. Our process is built around avoiding all four. We document the current state before touching anything, schedule changes after hours or over a weekend, keep the old system available as a fallback until the new one is proven, and hand you documentation you own.
Scheduled around the valley’s seasons
For lodging, restaurants and retail, we plan major projects for spring and fall shoulder seasons whenever possible. Professional offices typically prefer Friday-evening or weekend cut-overs so staff walk in Monday to a working system. Either way, you approve the schedule before work begins.
Signs it’s time for IT Projects & Migrations
- Your server is aging and you would rather not replace it.
- You are moving offices, opening a location or renovating.
- Your network is a mix of consumer gear added over the years.
- Some computers cannot run Windows 11.
- You are merging with or separating from another company.
If two or more of these sound familiar, take the free security check or book a free cybersecurity assessment.

What affects the price
Every quote is flat and in writing. These are the factors that move the number:
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Scope | Number of users, devices, sites and systems involved. |
| Existing equipment | How much can be reused versus replaced. |
| Data volume | Large file shares and mailboxes take longer to move and verify. |
| Scheduling | Weekend or overnight cut-overs are planned into the quote. |
Projects from Vail to Gypsum
We have planned projects around ski season in Vail, build-outs along the US-6 corridor in Eagle-Vail and Avon, and network upgrades for shops and yards in Gypsum. See examples in our case studies.
“Duplo digital is our IT company that keeps all of our info safe and secure. Todd has done a great job in setting everything up for us, being there for our staff when they have computer issues, and prioritizing our projects. I would highly recommend Dublow Digital for all of your IT needs.”
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be a managed client to hire you for a project?
No. IT projects are available to any business. Many clients start with a single project, such as a migration or network upgrade, before deciding on ongoing support.
How are IT projects priced?
As a fixed price after a discovery visit or call, based on the scope, number of users and devices, and how much existing equipment can be reused. You approve the quote before work starts.
How long does a typical IT project take?
Small projects like a firewall replacement can be done in a day. Server-to-cloud migrations and office moves for 10 to 25 users typically take two to six weeks from planning to completion, with the actual cut-over over a single evening or weekend.
Will there be downtime during a migration?
We plan cut-overs after hours and keep the old system available as a fallback, so most clients see little or no disruption to business hours.
Can you take over a project another IT company started?
Yes. We start by documenting what has been done and what remains, then quote the rest of the work at a fixed price.
